How To Get Prospects To Call You

You’ve probably heard before that “the money is in the list” but what does that really mean? It means that the more people you have on your marketing list the better chance you have of signing up more people and therefore making more money in your home based business.

It is true that the money is in the list… so how do you build a giant prospecting list when you’re just getting started in your home based business? Or perhaps you’re not new to MLM you’re just new to the idea of list building. Either way, this article is designed to show you how to build the largest list possible in the shortest amount of time. Because the money really is in the list!

The first thing you’re going to want to do is set up a squeeze page. Squeeze pages are used by almost all serious internet marketers and they allow people to take a look at your website and business only after they give you their name and email address.

Some squeeze pages have lots of information the prospect needs to enter but really all you need is the first name and email. Many people aren’t comfortable putting in their phone number, address, or anything else and if you ask for it you won’t get as many opt-ins.

Once you get an opt-in they should be allowed to access your website and get the information they need. They will also be put into an auto-responder. An auto-responder is a program that sends out emails for you. This allows you to be doing other things for your business while the auto-responder markets to your prospects for you!

When a prospect is ready to talk to you personally they will pick up the phone and call you! This is the best thing in the world because you know they are really serious about working from home!

If you aren’t currently using a sqeeze page you need to get one, it’s the best thing that can happen to your online business. Many marketers use multiple squeeze pages in order to get the most opt-ins possible.

Another way to grow your list in a big, big way is by giving something away for free. People love free stuff I mean don’t you? By creating your own product (usually like a free report or an ebook) and setting up a website to give it away for free your opt-in list will grow by leaps and bounds! You’ll also of course have to make sure the product you give away is something that has to do with working from home that way your prospects will be targeted.

Don’t worry about bugging people with your emails because at the bottom of every email your auto-responder sends out there will be an opt-out link. That way the only people who stay on your list are the people who are really interested.

Finally, once you’ve set up your free product page and your business squeeze pages you’ll need to promote, promote, promote! If you don’t promote your websites only nobody (or very few) is ever going to find them. Use free sites like network marketing forums, twitter, myspace, face book, you tube and article websites to get the word out about your pages and you’ll have tons of free prospects in no time!

Follow these easy steps and you’ll have more prospects than you’ll have time to talk to in a day! Remember, your list won’t grow overnight or without some serious promotion but if you’re looking for a cost effective way to have lots and lots of people to talk to this the best method out there.

Work From Home Business: It Isn't A Job - It's A Business

If I’ve heard this question once I’ve heard it a thousand times… “why does it cost money to get started in your business?”

In this article I want to go over one of the most commonly asked questions about getting started in a home based business? Why does it cost money to start?

I suppose it’s a pretty understandable question after all it doesn’t cost anything to start a job right? But that’s just the thing, you’re not starting a job you’re starting a business and all businesses cost money.

Think about if you were going to open a clothing store, how much money would you need to spend to get started? Well you’d need a location, clothes (duh), heating and air conditioning, electricity, you’d need counters, hangers, probably an alarm system… oh and you’d have to pay your employees.

If you want to go even smaller thing about this... what if you were opening a lemonade stand in your front yard. Surly that wouldn’t cost anything right? Well you’d need a stand, lemons, cups, a pitcher… you get my point by now right?

All businesses cost money to start, every single one, and there is nothing illegal or unethical about that fact.

Of course if you really were talking about opening your own traditional business you’d be talking about an investment of thousands or even hundreds of thousands and in the case of your average home based business you’re only talking a few hundred or less.

A very common misconception is that home based businesses take all the money you sign up with and give it to the person who signed you up. It’s almost as if they’re taking your money for no good reason at all other than to give your upline a bonus.

This is not true, while it is true that the person who brings you into the business will usually get compensated for that most of the money goes to operating the business for you, creating product, or sending out membership cards, providing training or customer service for you, just your basic cost of operation.

Now let’s get back to this whole it’s not a job thing because I think that’s a very important issue that many people don’t grasp 100% upon signing up. When you get started in a home based business you have officially become a business owner! You’re not someone with a job, you are the CEO of your very own company.

Don’t treat your business like it’s some little “work at home thing” treat it as if you run a fortune 500 company a company that in the next 5 years or so could very well pay you $100,000 $200,000 or even a million! Now doesn’t that make a start up cost of a couple hundred dollars seem like pocket change?

Don’t let the start up cost keep you from building the business of your dreams. Find the home based business that’s right for you and the sky is the limit!

Confident Calling: Home Based Business Success On the Phone

One of the hardest things for home based business owners to do can be simply picking up the phone and calling a prospect. In fact it’s a fear that is hard for even the most confident marketers.

Unfortunately, it’s something that every single network marketer will have to get good at eventually if they ever want to be successful in their business. It really is a silly thing to be nervous about when you think about it… people have a need and you have the solution! We should be excited to talk to people not nervous! We have what people need!

If you’re nervous or just downright scared of calling people on the phone one of the things you can do is practice in front of the mirror. Sure you might feel a little silly but it really can help you become more confident in what you’re saying.

This method is particularly helpful if you plan on using a script on the phone. A lot of times it’s the fear of the unknown that makes calling prospects so scary. So when you know your script backwards and forwards you’ll be much more confident.

Another thing you can do is practice with a friend or your spouse. Have them play different types of prospects and try to make the best out of every situation.

You see, the fact of the matter is… and this part really stinks…. Some people probably are going to be rude to you over the phone. When this use to happen to me I would get extremely upset because I thought it was my fault, something I had done wrong. It of course wasn’t, those people were just having a bad day or had some other type of problem that had absolutely nothing to do with me.

Listen to that carefully because most people don’t get it, when people are rude to you over the phone it has nothing to do with you! Once you understand that fact it becomes a lot easier to deal with the rude, nasty people because you know that it’s their problem not yours.

Of course 90% of the time there is nothing to be afraid of at all. Out of the thousands and thousands of people I’ve ever spoken to on the phone almost all of them have been incredibly nice and kind. Sure not all of them were interested in my business, but that’s just life.

Some will, some won’t, so what, someone’s waiting.

Somewhere out there, there are tens, hundreds maybe even thousands of people who want what you have to offer. So get on the phone, ignore the rude people, and start dialing like crazy. Because the more people you call… the closer you are to your victory!
