Christian Home Business Success: Be Honest With Yourself

When working your home based business there are going to be a few road blocks from time to time that you’ll have to deal with. Things like finding enough time to effectively work your business, family issues, money troubles and other things can really slow a home business down.

However the biggest stumbling block most people face when it comes to making money from home is…. Themselves. I know what you’re thinking. “Why would I limit my success... I REALLY WANT success?!”

It is true though… why is it that some people in the very same company fall flat on their faces while others make 5, 6 even 7 figures? The answer is simple but sometimes hard to hear. You have to be honest and a little tough on yourself to truly succeed working from home.

For instance, if you’re really being honest with yourself how many hours per week do you really spend working your home based business? If you are like 99% of people the answer is not enough.

It’s a really simple thing to do, you sit down at the desk in your home office and you get ready to work only instead of actually WORKING you do everything but. You clean off your desk, you organize your drawers, you waste time on the internet, you “map out a plan of action”, all of those things might make you FEEL like you’re working but if you are really honest with yourself you will see that you’re really just throwing away your time.

When we are really being honest with ourselves we start to notice that out of all the time we spend devoted to working our at home business might not be as productive as we thought at all.

Sometimes looking deeply at ourselves and holding ourselves accountable can be the hardest thing in the world to do. However, if we really truly want success it’s something that must be done.

Start writing out a list of things you want to accomplish each week for your business. If the weekend comes and you haven’t finished your list don’t let yourself off the hook… GET IT DONE! It might seem hard now but in the end it will help your business more than you could ever possibly know.

Make sure to set exciting by attainable goals for every week, month, and even the entire year. When you have goals it is much easier to track your progress and see how much you are honestly doing.

Finally if you really feel like you need more help get a friend or a spouse involved as your accountability partner. Sometimes that is the only way for you to really follow through with your goals.

Be honest with yourself and you’ll have massive success in your home based business, lie to yourself and you’ll probably fail… the choice is yours.
